Quick Review: MegaMan Starforce 3 ~Black Ace

Score Card
Gameplay: A
Story: C
Audio: B
Graphics: C
Style/Charm: B

Overall:
C+
An average game. If you've played the Battle Network games and/or you've played the previous two titles in the Starforce trilogy this is something that you will enjoy. Be it for the conclusion of the continuity or the little insider jokes scattered within the game

Pros:In game wave levels were interesting and added different mini-game components to complete some of them.
The story wraps up the Starforce trilogy decently.
Bit and Chip tunes used extensively worked well to fit the mood
Graphics were expected rendered mostly with sprites  and 3D models in battle-- the battles were impressive renderings.
It was fun being able to investigate almost all the sprites on the screen since every comment was quirky.

Cons
:Some levels were a pain, with the requirements to pass being annoying- like being swarmed.
Nothing too unique about the story, some parts weren't even relevant to the overall plot

Sound wise though the music and SFX fit, the usage of reverb and other "spacey" effects got a little overbearing at times, the panic music was also too repetitive.
The 3D in the battles still contained obvious polygonal hinges but not too bad.

Bottomline:
If you enjoyed the Battle Network series then you'll like where this game is going; same with finishing off the trilogy of the Starforce series. The battle system is neat being semi RPG-ish and Action-y you might even play it just to get away from the overly action based or menu based games on the market. The quirks and hidden messages are fun and battling others is pretty neat with this system too. Play it or not, it's just normal.
